Christian - final stretch 05/31/2010
Week went well in terms of workouts. My right knee really bothered me today on the bike. Although I didn’t want to make any adjustments before the race next weekend I raised my seat which seemed to help. In terms of diet I continue to struggle with the same issues. Provided I bring snacks with to work, I do well until I go home after work. I went to Pilates on Wednesday before going home and that seemed to help. Add Comment Christian - back on track on step at a time. 05/17/2010
Back on track in terms of exercise. Had a good week in that regard. Will try and get my diet back in line this week. I WILL get back on track this week. I am really excited about my assessment results and hope to make more improvements by the next assessment. I'm down about 7lbs! although, I'm not sure all of it was from eating right and exercise. I was not feeling my best the past couple of weeks. Either way, I'm going to try and NOT gain that back and I'm feeling better now so I'll be able to get some exercise back in my life. Taking these classes have been really helpful in releasing my stress and frustrations. I'll see you around...soon! Christian - keep on truck'n 05/12/2010
Last week was a bust. Doing ok so far this week. Definitely feel the pounds brought on by the last two weeks of despair. Alisha 05/12/2010
Well, so far this week, things on the fitness front are moving rather slowly, or not at all. Monday I was ill and left work early so I'll be using the rest of the week to try and get caught up which means less time for fitness. The week prior I had been going strong. I ran for longer than I've ever been able to. I made some time to do strength training, which I really need to work on. I'm not nearly as strong as I used to be a year ago. I still struggle with the food. I do much better when I can exercise though, it keeps me thinking healthy. Yes eating went ok last week until I got to LA. Things went down hill from there. Got back late on Sunday so I haven't had time to restock my fridge. I may be able to stop by the grocery store tonight at 8 or 9. I made it to my own gym yesterday. I'm going to be out of town again this weekend and then possibly the last weekend in May as well. The trips make it super hard to get exercise, other than all the walking. Eating healthy while away from home is doable but you have to have a lot of self discipline and I don't. I have a new wave of motivation though. Thanks for checking in. Linette - eating well!! 05/05/2010
Doing great on eating this week, even with the growing stresses at work. We will see what the weekend has in store though. I may be off on a get-a-way and eating healthy while away from home is always difficult. Christian - pressure and recovery. 05/03/2010
Last week was pretty much a disaster on the food front. Been working a lot of hours and under a lot of pressure at the moment at work. Unfortunately the next two weeks are only going to get worse. Did keep up with exercise at some level although by Sunday I had lost a lot of motivation. This week is supposed to be a “recovery” week so my workouts are pretty low level. Shouldn’t have a problem making them but I think the food/drink will be an issue . Christian - recovery week. 04/27/2010
Wasn’t able to make it over to O2 last week but did manage to get all my workouts in spite of having a number of limited sleep nights. Definitely need to figure out a way to stretch out. Next week is a recovery week and hopefully I can compliment it with some stretching. Because I had a bunch of stuff prepped, I did well with food during the week except in the evenings of the more stressful days and on two occasions when I was handed a dessert to eat. Linette - one date and lot's of veggies. 04/26/2010
While at the farmers market Susan challenged me to try one fruit this week. On Saturday I tried a date. Verdict….I’m indifferent. I’ll have to give them another shot in a week or two. Last week it was very difficult to get down to O2 to workout. I expect it to be equally as hard this week. I still have a bad cough, so bad in fact that I pulled a muscle in my neck. It’s difficult to get in a good cardio workout when you can’t breathe. The good news is my fridge is stocked full of fresh veggies and it’s stuff I actually want to eat. | Corp ChallengeO2 Modern Fitness now offers the The Corporate Challenge: a new version of the O2 Challenge for business owners to offer their employees.
