WHAT IS THE O2 CHALLENGE?

The O2 Challenge is a 3-month program.
  It’s aim is to assist and support each participant in achieving their own specific health and wellness goals.  It is designed to be a launching pad for a healthy lifestyle as part of a life long pursuit. The program incorporates tools for discipline but leaves the client with a freedom of choice within healthy boundaries.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The program begins with each participant filling out a detailed questionnaire.  Each participant receives a “one on one” consultation with O2’s staff nutritionist.  Following the individual interviews, the participants meet together as a group.  The O2 nutritionist does a presentation about nutrition and diet and each Challenger receives their own individualized plan based on the one-on-one interview.  The plan includes dietary guidelines as well as a recommended fitness and exercise plan.  The plan incorporates some classes offered at O2 Modern Fitness such as spinning, yoga and Pilates, as well as other fitness related activities that are determined during the one-on-one interview that the partipant enjoys such as walking, hiking or cycling outdoors. At the first group meeting, everyone gets a sense of each participants goals so that the group members can also offer support along the way. The group meets together two more times during the 3-month program.  Email support is offered to the participant throughout the 3-month program. 

WHO CAN DO THE CHALLENGE?


Each participant defines their own individual goals which range from weight loss, to increased cardiovascular fitness to increased flexibility.   Participants include elite athletes wanting to push themselves in cross training outside of their sport to those on a vegan diet wishing to increase lean body mass.  The Challenge is open to all levels of fitness and is designed to help each person achieve their specific goals with plenty of support from the O2 staff as well as the other participants.  The program itself creates a healthy community in which to call on for support.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

The base cost for this program  is $225.00 per month with a three month minimum required commitment. The fee includes an initial "one-on-one" consultation with a fitness expert and nutritionist as well as 3 monthly meetings with an educational component with the other Challengers.   It also includes a general diet guidelines and exercise program and unlimited access to all of the classes offered at O2 Modern Fitness.  
Additional customized services are also available including private Pilates and Yoga sessions, therapeutic massage, personal food shopping, in home pantry clean out, personal training, sport specific training programs and more!
